Visit the CEE Department

It’s one thing for us to tell you about our Civil and Environmental Engineering programs. It’s another to have a conversation with one of your future professors or take a student-guided tour of the department. Hang out for an afternoon. A visit can give you a feel for the environment that a website or a phone call can never convey.

When To Come

Monday through Fridays during the academic year are great times to visit. We will even arrange for a tour over the weekend if that fits your schedule best, but be advised that we will not be able to arrange a meeting with a faculty member on a weekend. Just contact our office a week or more in advance of your visit so we can make arrangements and confirm your visit.  Our Ambassadors look forward to meeting and visiting with you.

Engineering Exploration Days are an annual event. During this program, high-school students and their parents can learn about engineering majors and careers, take tours of our labs, and ask questions of current students, faculty, and financial aid officers. For more information on Engineering Exploration Day, contact the College of Engineering at 970-491-6220.

What To Do

  • Student-guided departmental tours are available during the academic year Monday through Friday.
  • Meet with a professor. We’ll try to match your interests and needs with the right faculty member.
  • Want a tour of the entire campus? The Office of Admissions has campus tours available for incoming freshmen and prospective students.
  • Something else you want to see or do? Let us know when you schedule your visit and we’ll do our best to make additional arrangements.

How To Schedule

The easiest way to schedule a visit is to call the Department of Civil Engineering at 970-491-1174 or e-mail shannon.miller@colostate.edu. Please give us a week’s notice so we can schedule your visit.

How To Get Here
