Construction Engineering and Management refers to the managing of construction projects by applying knowledge and skills in engineering, resource management, ethics, sustainability, schedule and cost control, design, safety, and other aspects of the construction process.

This PhD program in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Management is a collaborative effort between the departments and CEE and Construction Management faculty at CSU. This program is designed to provide an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines courses in estimating, scheduling with the basics of civil engineering, business, management, communication skills, and the humanities. The focus is on integrating innovative management systems, computers and other technologies into the construction process.

Graduate Teaching Assistantship opportunities will be available through the Department of Construction Management and Graduate Research Assistantship opportunities will be available through the departments of Construction Management and Civil and Environmental Engineering.

To be considered for Construction Management Graduate Teaching Assistantships (if available),
applicants must submit their complete doctoral program application by the following deadlines:

-September 15th for Spring semester
-February 1st for Fall semester
