Saeed Azad

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Saeed Azad’s research interests lie in the development of new theory and formulations in several areas: deterministic and stochastic combined plant and control optimization (control co-design), robust and stochastic optimization, reliability-based design optimization, optimal control theory, trajectory optimization, game theory, and artificial intelligence.

The main application of Dr. Azad’s research thus far has been hybrid electric vehicle powertrain control co-design. Prior to joining Colorado State University, he taught in the Physics, Geology, and Engineering Technology Department at Northern Kentucky University.
