Applying systems thinking to the world’s most complex problems is what we do!
Whether you are interested in human factors, aerospace, water and energy systems, systems modeling, transportation, cybersecurity, or project management, we’ll provide you the classes and support to succeed.
All of our programs and classes can be completed online or on-campus. If online learning works best for you, you will be receiving the exact same degree and educational experience as our on-campus students.
As a graduate-only program, your classmates often already have professional experience and are looking to gain new skills and further their career. You will be learning alongside engineers from NASA, Lockheed-Martin, Woodward, Inc. and ULA, just to name a few.
Many of our students balance working full-time and taking classes. To make sure everyone can participate, our classes are offered in three formats: on-campus, synchronous online, or you can watch the recorded lecture at a later time that best suits you.
Faculty and staff in the SE department are accessible, welcoming, and truly care about our students. Our faculty are both world-class instructors and researchers in systems engineering. In addition, many of our professors have extensive experience working in industry.
Many of our online students use employee tuition reimbursement from their company to help cover the costs of grad school. On-campus students often have their tuition covered by a GTA/GRA position.
Graduate Teaching Assistantships are offered on a very limited basis by SE. Graduate Research Assistantships are offered by individual faculty members.
As a department at a land grant university, we have a commitment to access and excellence. Find more resources for students with access barriers on our resources page. Both on-campus and online students are invited to join the access and success student sub-committee.
