Deb Dandaneau

Graduate Advisor

Advises on-campus and Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) students

Deb joined the Department of Systems Engineering as an advisor in Summer 2022.  She was excited by the program’s interdisciplinary nature, its growth, and its focus on student success.

Prior to joining Systems Engineering at CSU, she taught undergrad physics courses and advised physics majors at CSU (2018-2022), Kansas State (2012-2018) and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (2007-2012).  She also promoted undergraduate student success and engagement through The Institute for Learning and Teaching at CSU and the Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry.  Prior to her Ph.D. work, she developed lasers for sensing purposes as a research engineer at the Wright Patterson Air Force Research Laboratory (1998-2001).

Deb is committed to helping in-person and D.Eng. students navigate their programs smoothly and successfully, and she is also engaged in recruitment to continue the growth momentum of the Systems Engineering programs.

She enjoys leisure time with her daughter and cats, and she is improving her fixer-upper home and its weedy lot.  She also enjoys reading, walking, and knitting, and she’s recommitted to improving her rollerblading.
