Gary Johnson is the Surgical Group President for Applied Medical, a global medical device developer, manufacturer, and distributor headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Johnson joined the company in June of 1992 as a process development engineer.
Three years later, he transitioned into the clinical development role and then served as vice president of clinical development, division president and general manager. In September 1999, Johnson was promoted to Vice President and general manager.
Johnson holds over a dozen patents for a variety of medical devices and technologies. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.
