Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in ECE

It is our social responsibility as scientists and engineers to have an inclusive and equitable environment reflecting societal demographics and perspectives. Creativity and innovation are fostered in environments where diversity, equity, and inclusion exist. Aligning with the College’s DEI mission, we aim to incorporate these values into our interactions with one another, our teaching, research, and outreach programs.

DEI Committee

The ECE DEI committee includes students, faculty, and staff who are leading initiatives to improve the culture and diversity of our department. The committee is particularly focused on strategies to support the success of women in ECE, who are largely underrepresented in our major as well as many high-tech professions.
