CloudSat Pre-launch and Launch Video to Air Oct. 28

Untitled Document CloudSat, the world's most sensitive cloud-profiling radar, was developed by NASA in collaboration with Colorado State University, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Canadian Space Agency and Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. On April 28, 2006, CloudSat joined NASA's array of earth science observation satellites 487 miles above Earth. Now Colorado State scientists are processing data from the $217 million satellite and distributing it around the world.

Video of the launch of CloudSat from Vandenberg Air Force Base will be shown on Ft. Collins Comcast Cable channel 11 and CSU Campus Channel 11 on Saturday, October 28 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Included in the CSU TV production is the pre-launch press conference from Vandenberg Air Force Base, the CSU CloudSat Media Day presentations, pre-launch and launch coverage from Vandenberg AFB, and a short animination. The show will also air again in November; check this site for future air times.
