Exploiting Network Relationships in Social, Transportation and Electrical Network
Abstract: The topic of this presentation will mainly focus on the network relationships, especially in social network, transportation network and power grid. In addition, after reviewing several case studies, a novel concept, named heterogeneous information network, which about network and the relationships within network will be introduced. Finally, there will be a framework of future study been presented.

Case study 1: Two Phase based Spammer Detection in Weibo. We propose a two-phase based spammer detection approach We take the existing works about the user feature as the first phase. Then, we introduce LDA for content mining to analyze the topics of user as the second phase in spammer detection.
Case study 2: Crowdsourcing in ITS: The State of the Work and the Networking. We present a timely literature review of crowdsourcing and its applications in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). We investigate the ITS services enabled by crowdsourcing, the keyword co-occurrence and coauthor networks formed by ITS publications and identify the problems and challenges that need further research.
Case study 3: Decomposed Iterative Optimal Power Flow with Automatic Regionalization. we propose a novel and efficient method to decompose the entire system into multiple sub-systems based on automatic regionalization and acquire the OPF solution across sub-systems. The proposed method performance is more appealing compared with original Matpower solver.

Heterogeneous information network: Compared to widely studied homogeneous information network, the heterogeneous information network contains richer structure and semantic information, which provides plenty of opportunities as well as a lot of challenges for data mining.
