Byron Winn to Present Mechanical Engineering History Friday, February 14
Emeritus mechanical engineering professor Byron Winn will present a history of Colorado State University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering on Friday, February 14, 2003, in Clark A202 from 12:10 to 1 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Winn will present the history through a PowerPoint presentation, starting with the 1862 Morrill Act, which established 68 colleges devoted to agriculture and the mechanic arts in every state and territory endowed through grants of public lands. The presentation will emphasize the role the Department of Mechanical Engineering has played in the development and growth of Colorado State University.
