New Development Director Joins College

The College of Engineering has named Jennifer Szamowicz the new engineering director of development. Szamowicz will join development team members Roxanne Fry, assistant director of development, and Shannon Davis, donor relations coordinator, Feb. 17. As development director, Szamowicz will work with faculty and staff to establish fundraising priorities and implement development plans.

"Jennifer is an articulate and highly skilled professional fundraiser with a strong background in higher education. I believe she is just the person we need to lead our efforts."

Szamowicz is currently the director of development and alumni relations at the University of Montana. Prior to her work with the University of Montana, she served as a Director of Development at Northern Arizona University where she obtained the largest corporate gift in Northern Arizona University's history, increased annual giving revenue by 1000% and secured several new endowed scholarships. Szamowicz earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.

"I feel privileged and excited to work on behalf of the College of Engineering and look forward to collaborating with faculty, staff and other members of the Colorado State University community to ensure that the college has the resources to build on its already prominent status," Szamowicz said.
