NSF Renews Funds for CSU-CHILL Radar Facility

The National Science Foundation has renewed funding for the CSU-CHILL Radar Facility. This advanced polarimetric and Doppler radar research facility is the only such facility at a university in the entire U.S. The CSU-CHILL Radar Facility is funded by the National Science Foundation and the State of Colorado for the purpose of supporting the research community by providing data and evaluating experimental techniques in remote sensing of the atmosphere. The renewal of this cooperative agreement brings a total of $3,346,379 to the University over the five-year grant period. CSU-CHILL is a joint effort between the Departments of Atmospheric Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering, under the leadership of Steve Rutledge (ATS) and V. N. Bringi and V. Chandrasekar (ECE).
