Chemical Engineering Invites College Community to Retirement Reception for Vince Murphy

Dr. Vincent Murphy
and his career with Colorado State University on
Friday, April 15, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m.
In the University Club and the Cherokee Park Room,
Lory Student Center

Dr. Murphy has been a member of the chemical engineering faculty since 1977. Prior to his arrival here, he held research and teaching positions with the USDA Agricultural Research Service, the University of Missouri, and Iowa State University. His research activities include both fundamental and applied studies in biochemical and environmental engineering. Areas of particular interest include bioconversion of lignocellulosics to fuels and chemicals, solid-state fermentation of carbohydrate substrates, and bioremediation of contaminated soils. Dr. Murphy also serves as Director of the department's NSF-sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates Program in Bioprocess Engineering.
