CSU Water Resources Program Still Leads the Nation

Sandor C. Scallany Institutional Award Presented to Civil Engineering

Colorado State University's Department of Civil Engineering has received the Sandor C. Scallany Institutional Award for Exemplary Contributions to Water Resources Management.

FloodThe Sandor C. Scallany Institutional Award was established by the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) in 1991 and is presented each year to a water resources institution that has achieved status of eminence in some aspect of managing the nation's waters.

The Department of Civil Engineering was recognized for its sustained contributions to improved water management. In announcing the award, Dr. John S. Grounds, III, president of AWRA, said, "Colorado State's civil engineering department has demonstrated its leadership in water resources management by achieving an unmatched level of eminence in water education, research, and service."
