Colorado State University Students Showcase Projects at Annual Engineering Days

Colorado State University engineering students will showcase individual and team projects and host activities for the university and Fort Collins communities at Engineering Days on April 15 and 16. More than 70 displays will represent student work from chemical, civil, electrical and computer and mechanical engineering.

Engineering Days will kick off with a barbeque on the corner of Plum and Meridian from 3-6:30 p.m. on April 15. The event will feature food and activities for the engineering community including volleyball, a joust, a bungee run and music provided by Patchwork Blue.

Student projects will be on display from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 16 in the Main Ballroom of the Lory Student Center and outdoors on the Student Center Plaza. A panel of judges from the engineering industry will be on hand to evaluate student projects. Project and departmental awards will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Student Center's North Ballroom. Both events are free and open to the public.

E-Days Displays 2003

Featured student displays will range from robotics to race car dynamics to water management. Student teams will show undergraduate senior design projects, including a concrete canoe, human powered vehicle, robotic walking machine, clean snowmobile, steel bridge, fire-fighting robot and chemically powered car, which recently took 2nd place at the regional AIChE student competition.
