ATS Celebrates 40 Years of Excellence

The Department of Atmospheric Science celebrated 40 years of excellence in graduate education and cutting edge research in 2002. The department has been repeatedly designated as a Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence at Colorado State, and is one of the top programs in the nation. Alumni and friends of the Department joined faculty, staff and students in the celebrations on July 9-10. The event included fourteen technical presentations showcasing the latest developments in the field of atmospheric, with topics ranging from global precipitation and storms to atmospheric chemistry and free waves. Also on July 9, the department and CIRA dedicated their new addition (see article under Department News).
