Spring-Summer 2002

  • Dr. Seok-Ku Ko, civil engineering alumnus and President of the Korea Water Resources Corporation, received a Distinguished Alumnus award from CSU President Albert Yates in June 2002.
  • Norris Lynch, BSEE ’49, received the IEEE Millennium Medal for outstanding achievements and contribution to the electrical engineering profession.
  • Bioresources and agricultural engineering Professor Emeritus David McWhorter was named the recipient of the 2001-02 Engineering Honor Alumnus Award.
  • Ignacio Rodriguez-Iturbe, civil engineering alumnus, won the 2002 Stockholm Water Prize, hydrology’s most prestigious international award. The Princeton University professor was honored for his significant contributions to the development of hydrologic science and to the preservation and enhancement of the world’s water resources.
  • Civil engineering alumnus Kent Rominger received the William E. Morgan Alumni Achievement Award, the University’s highest honor.
