E-Days Student Displays List and Building Maps Available Here

Colorado State University engineering students invite the campus and community to attend the 2003 annual Engineering Days celebration April 24 and 25. The event will feature over 90 displays of student work including individual and team projects from electrical, chemical, civil and mechanical engineering.

The celebration will begin with a Kick Off Barbeque from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 24 on the Water Plaza on the Colorado State campus. Activities at the barbeque will include bouncy boxing, bungee racing, an inflatable castle and ultimate Frisbee. Dinner from Bennett's Bar-B-Que and Cold Stone Creamery will be available at no cost for engineering students, staff and faculty presenting activity cards or Colorado State IDs. Music will be provided by KCSU.

Student projects will be on display in the Engineering Building from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 25. Student teams will showcase their award-winning designs of the concrete canoe, human powered vehicle, walking machine, snowmobile, steel bridge, tractor pull, fire-fighting robot and internal camera football. A variety of other student demonstrations will take place during the showcase. A panel of judges from the engineering industry will be on hand to evaluate student projects. Awards will be presented to students who have submitted the most outstanding work from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Marriott. Both events are free and open to the public.

From 9 p.m. to midnight engineering students will host a finale featuring the band George August Brew at the Ramskeller in the Lory Student Center on campus. The event is open to the public.
