The Engineering Marketing & Communications Office works with department, college and university offices to create new marketing and communication tools and establish methods to promote our programs to a wide audience. Our activities include:

• Expanding our Outreach: Assisting the departments in recruitment, retention and promotional activities, including video production, photography, press releases, magazine articles, and event support.
• Media: Producing DVDs for various uses including advancement of our programs, undergraduate and graduate recruiting, and as historical recordings of alumni and emeritus faculty.
• Websites: Providing structure and content for websites, including researching and writing stories for college and department newsletters.
• Publications: Creating new publications for departments, college or university use, such as the Engineering Review magazine, the book 100 Years of Engineering at Colorado State University, the College Research Report, and special program brochures.
• Press Releases: Working with Emily Wilmsen of the CSU Public Information Office to publicize our activities in various media, including developing background, writing stories, developing media plans, organizing media events, and identifying contacts for the media.
• Alumni Connections: Joining department and college staff in helping stay connected to our alumni by sharing information about their activities through videos, press releases, and stories for print or web publication.
• Photography: Taking photographs for department, college and university use, and maintaining photographic archives.
• Communication: Developing communication plans in conjunction with university, college and department staff, and facilitating discussions of focus groups to gain information for strategic planning purposes.
