Kevin Lear on Optoelectronics and Optical Communication

The Engineering Marketing & Communications Office works to create new marketing and communication tools and establish methods to promote programs to a wide audience. Our activities include:

  • Media: DVD production for various uses including advancement of programs, recruiting, and as historical records.
  • Feature Stories: Research and development of stories for college and department publications.
  • Publications: Creating specialty publications, such as the book, 100 Years of Engineering at Colorado State University.
  • Alumni Connections: Joining other staff in connecting with alumni by sharing information about their activities through videos, press releases, and stories for print or web publication.
  • Photography: Taking photographs for department, college and University use, and maintaining photographic archives.
  • Communication: Developing communication plans, and facilitating discussions to gain information for strategic planning purposes.
  • Expanding Outreach: Assisting departments with video production, photography, press releases, magazine articles, and event support.
