Dr. Soham Ghosh is an assistant professor for the Colorado State University Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is also a core faculty of the C. Wayne McIlWraith Translational Medicine Institute and the School of Biomedical Engineering. His primary research interest is to understand the fundamental mechanobiological principles behind aging related degenerative diseases of soft tissues and creating diverse regenerative medicine technologies to manage those diseases, with a specific focus on nuclear mechanobiology, chromatin organization, epigenetic mechanisms and innate cellular regenerative response to stress. His research has appeared in many leading academic journals and conferences, and two of his journal papers were recognized by the Journal of Biomechanical Engineering – Transactions of the ASME and Measurement Science and Technology, with the Editor’s Choice award. He is the recipient of several awards for research and teaching including Lambert Graduate fellowship, Magoon Teaching award and Graduate Teaching award from Purdue University. Dr. Ghosh is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) – Bioengineering Division, Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS).
