Account Eligibility
All CSU students, faculty, staff and affiliates are eligible for an engineering account at no charge. Affililates should request an affiliate eID from CSU prior to applying for an account.
Non-CSU individuals may receive an account if sponsored by a CSU faculty. In this case, an Engineering account is $45 per year.
Account Requirements
- CSU eID
- Those who not associated with the College of Engineering (either working for the college, registered for an engineering class, or declared as an engineering major) will need approval from a staff or faculty member.
Overview
Students, staff and faculty in the College of Engineering have a computer account that provides access to the College computer network. Services include:
- Login access to Engineering lab computers and resources
- Personal file space on the Engineering College computer network
- Printing credits for students
- Access to online applications provided by ETS
Difference Between your CSU eID and Engineering Account
Your Engineering account is separate from the electronic ID (eID) issued by the university. However, your eID is a prerequisite for getting an Engineering account. As a student of the College of Engineering at CSU you have a computer account created that allows you to login to the lab’s computers, access the doors to the computer labs, print using your engineering printing quota, and have access to network storage. An engineering account is available free of charge for anyone with a CSU eID, but those not associated with the college must have approval from an Engineering faculty or staff member.
For more information on your eID, please see here: https://eid.colostate.edu/
