Abstract: Severe storms in the region of interest seem to be unique and haven’t been studied in detail before. Moreover, main radar retrievals and procedures haven’t been tested in that kind of severe conditions. That yields into the question of how C-band performs in this region which has such extreme climatology. The network of radar deployed during the campaign is used to validate the results and to generation dual radar dual-pol retrievals to understand the microphysical phenomenon occurring in this type of storm.
