Create Practical Solutions for

a More Resilient and Sustainable World.

We offer three undergraduate majors – civil engineering, construction engineering, and environmental engineering – where you can confront some of society’s most critical challenges and design and build solutions that impact our daily lives.

Design resilient and sustainable infrastructure that promotes a healthy planet and a flourishing humanity.
Become a full-cycle expert to design and build heavy construction projects safely and efficiently.
Solve pressing environmental issues ranging from protecting air and water quality to restoring ecosystems.

Academic Excellence

Our civil engineering and environmental engineering undergraduate programs hold regional and specialized accreditation, and serve as the first-step toward your professional engineering license. Our new construction engineering program beginning in fall 2025 will seek ABET accreditation.

You’ll receive a rigorous education from our award-winning and globally recognized faculty who actively contribute to the field through innovative research and dynamic teaching.

Experiential Learning

With hands-on education addressing real-world challenges, our students dive deep into what it takes to be an engineer. Our students benefit from lab and design experiences as freshmen, then go in-depth on a senior design project.

Research Opportunities

You won’t have to wait until graduate school. Research alongside our world-class faculty as an undergraduate!
