Jarrett receives Presidential Leadership Award from NCSEA
Assistant Professor Jordan Jarrett has received the Susan Ann “Susie” Jorgensen Presidential Leadership Award from the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA). Jarrett currently serves as President of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado (SEAC).
NCSEA shared: “Before entering academia, she worked for seven years as a structural engineering consultant, focusing on the design of steel and concrete structures. She has served on multiple committees for SEAC, NCSEA, AISC, and ASCE. Through her work on SEAC and NCSEA’s SE3 Committees, she has been a strong advocate for people-focused cultures and policies, including mental health awareness and support, flexible work environments, and equitable recruitment and retention procedures.”
“It is an honor to carry on Susie’s legacy of advocacy, mentorship, and engagement,” said Jarrett. “I look forward to continuing the work to make our structural engineering industry more innovative and inclusive.”
