If you are taking EE451 you will be using the Xilinx FPGA Demonstration Boards. The following discusses how to set up your account and then how to do schematic capture, write vhdl code, do functional and timing simulations and eventually map the design onto hardware and demonstrate it on the Xilinx boards. At the end of this section there is a flowchart showing the design flow using Xilinx FPGA devices.
