Introduction to Mentor Graphics

Welcome to the Colorado State University VLSI and Computer Design Laboratory. This lab has two HP-Apollo 9000/735 workstations and thirteen HP-Apollo 9000/715 workstations. All workstations run HP/UX version 10.20, Mentor Graphics version C.1 design automation tools, and Mentor Graphics Checkmate and Lsim tools. This document will explain the fundamentals of using the Mentor Graphics tools on these workstations for schematic capture, digital and analog simulation, and integrated circuit layout.
