Dr. Toluwalase Fosudo
Research Associate III
Mechanical Engineering
Dr. Toluwalase Fosudo earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University in December 2024. His dissertation focused on developing advanced combustion strategies to improve the efficiency and reduce the emissions of heavy-duty liquefied petroleum gas engines. After graduation, he continued his work in sustainable transportation and internal combustion engines at the CSU Energy Institute as a Research Associate with the Engines and Energy Conversion Lab.
His research focuses on building a more resilient and sustainable power generation and transportation sector through the development of viable alternative fuels, emissions and combustion control strategies, and long duration energy storage technologies. Tolu is dedicated to creating cleaner and more efficient systems to diversify and improve the global fuel-energy mix.
In addition to his technical work, Tolu is passionate about education. This includes outreach on energy practices that promote reducing waste, tailoring consumption, and inspiring the next generation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies and soccer, and playing volleyball and scrabble.
