Born and raised in the rural community of Glenns Ferry in the state of Idaho, Misa Soto’s interest in healthcare, mathematics, and innovative technologies led to his pursuit and completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 2023.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

Research Interests

Throughout his undergraduate career, he worked in a cell and tissue engineering research laboratory working with polymer characterization and formulation, worked as a Health Educator for the University of Arizona College of Public Health Mobile Health Unit increasing accessibility to health screenings for vulnerable Southern Arizona communities, and developed his leadership skills across a multitude of extracurricular activities.
