Kari Cowden received her master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University in 2018 focused on biological interactions with materials, specifically stem cells interaction with biomaterials. As an instructor at Front Range Community College, she participated in the Active Learning Institute (ALI) and redesigned courses to promote student-centered learning. Kari joined Colorado State University in Spring 2023, and is focused on developing classes where the students are actively learning and applying concepts to real world applications.
