Laboratory for Air Quality Research
Mechanical Engineering
Dr. Huiying Luo is a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory for Air Quality Research (LAQR) at Colorado State University. Currently, Dr. Luo is working on developing and validating photochemical mechanisms and parameterizations for aerosol formation and evolution using laboratory data. Later on, she will also study urban emission evolution in North America with the help of three-dimensional numerical models (such as WRF/Chem).
Dr. Luo received her B.S. in surveying and mapping engineering from Central South University, China, and her Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Connecticut. Her previous research mainly focused on applying three-dimensional numerical models for regulatory policies. She has also studied the impact of local circulations and long-range transport on urban pollution in the New York State area.
