Mechanical Engineering
Ben Grier received his B.S. and Ph.D from Clemson University where he developed verification techniques for CFD codes. Afterwards, he spent 5 years as a research associate at The Ohio State University developing reduced-order-model, coupled-physics simulations for hypersonic vehicles.
Prior to joining CSU, he spent 3 years at OSU teaching entry-level engineering courses in programming and design. He continues to enjoy teaching using an active-learning, student-centered, flipped-classroom approach. In his spare time, Ben enjoys riding his bike, playing board games, and doing anything related to hockey.
