Dr. Bonnie Roberts

Associate Teaching Professor

Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Bonnie Roberts is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, including Thermodynamics, Numerical Methods, Programming Concepts, Experimentation, and Engineering Capstone Design.

Dr. Roberts earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2005 and her Ph.D. in 2017, both from The University of Texas at Austin.

Before joining CSU in 2018, Dr. Roberts worked as an engineering scientist associate at Applied Research Laboratories developing naval subsea sensor systems, as a consultant for GE Energy customizing gas turbines, as an instructor at the University of South Florida, and as a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Roberts finds great satisfaction in contributing to undergraduate student education and assisting students in reaching their full potential. For instance, she served as Faculty-in-Residence for four years in the Engineering Residential Learning Community, regularly advises Honors and Senior Design students, oversees the ASME Student Section, and contributed to the development of engineering summer camp programs for middle and high school students.
