This CSU faculty and staff-led program provides a unique opportunity for a small cohort of incoming, first-year, and transfer engineering students to earn credit for their introductory mechanical engineering course and the AUCC 3E general education requirement. Participants will meet on the CSU campus for an intensive week of learning before traveling together to Berlin, Germany with a CSU Mechanical Engineering faculty member.

CEA Study Abroad: Math and Science in Prague | About
With a reputation as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, you’ll study engineering and math amidst the backdrop of centuries-old bridges, cathedrals, and church spires. Prague is also home to a rich modern culture filled with public art and whimsical architecture, and an inspiring intellectual community. Opportunities will abound to apply concepts learned in class to real-life examples in this historic city. Engineering and Math courses are taught in the CEA Study Center, and elective courses are offered at the CEA Study Center and/or Anglo-American University.
CEA Study Abroad: Math and Science in Prague | Where
Prague, Czech Republic

Anglo-American University, is Prague’s oldest private university. Courses are taught in English; you’ll attend class alongside local Czech and other international students from more than 50 countries. AAU’s stunning campus is located in the 17th century Thurn-Taxis Palace in the central Mala Strana neighborhood, adjacent to the CEA Prague Center and within walking distance of the Charles Bridge and other notable historic sites. The CEA Prague Center is located in the historic Malá Strana district and within a 5-minute walk of Anglo-American University.
CEA Study Abroad: Math and Science in Prague | Program
It’s your choice: take 1 Engineering course, 2 Engineering courses, or 1 Engineering course and 1 elective course from the social sciences or humanities.
Engineering courses meet for 45 or 60 contact hours (3 or 4 credits), and elective courses meet for 42 contact hours (3 credits). If you choose the 1-course option, you may earn 3-4 credits (45-60 contact hours); if you choose the 2-course option, you may earn 6-7 credits (87-120 contact hours).
Elective courses typically meet daily, Monday-Friday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
