Dr. Jide Williams earned his doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver in Colorado, U.S. in 2023. His doctoral thesis focused on the modernization of large transformer tanks using advanced materials. Furthermore, Jide has acquired several notable certifications, including a Six Sigma Black Belt certification in process improvement, and certifications in programming and machine learning. Passionate about psychology, management, and programming, Jide aims to find a synergy between these diverse fields.
Before joining the Novel High Voltage and Temperature Materials research group in 2018, he spent several years working in a management consulting firm. Since then, he has authored some publications in international journals. In the summer of 2024, Jide was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University.

- Exploring the nexus between artificial and emotional intelligence in undergraduate engineering education to foster industry-ready engineers
- Implementing machine learning algorithms in undergraduate study laboratories
- Deploying machine learning code for predicting functional decline in adults – graduate research
- Application of advanced and data driven material for overcoming current concerns in the power industry – graduate research
