Mechanical Engineering

Kari Cowden received her master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University in 2018, where she focused on biological interactions with materials, specifically stem cell interactions with biomaterials. Since joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University in Spring 2023, she has been dedicated to developing classes that emphasize active learning and real-world applications of engineering concepts. Kari also serves as the faculty advisor for Alpha Sigma Kappa – Women in Technical Studies and the Mechanical Engineering Rocket Competition Team.
