Xiaoying Li

Research Scientist I

Xiaoying completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at Peking University. After graduating, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Prof. Ellison Carter at Colorado State University and Prof. Jill Baumgartner at McGill University. She led a four-year field study as part of the Beijing Household Energy Transition program, assessing the impact of coal-to-electricity policies on indoor and outdoor air pollution, personal exposures, and public health. Currently, she collaborates with Ellison Carter in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and John Volckens in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on measuring indoor air quality and personal exposures using wearable, user-friendly technology to evaluate their effects on human health and well-being.
