Shaun Case

Research Associate III, One Water Solutions Institute

Shaun has been with CSU since the Fall of 2006 working with and among many different departments and colleges on multidisciplinary research projects involving federal agencies and national laboratories, as well as foreign governments and the United Nations. She has served on and currently serves on many university committees at all levels and is a member of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

Shaun has 15 years of experience in applied software engineering for large scale modeling and simulation research involving temporal, spatial, biological, and environmental factors. She also has over 30 years of experience in software engineering, software engineering management, project development, SQL programming, database design, systems integration, client/server design and development, and parallel and distributed computing.

Shaun has 7 years of military experience (between the Army and Air Force) and an extensive background working with government entities within the U.S. state and federal levels, as well as with foreign governments. She also has experience working with and coordinating joint research projects involving multiple foreign governments with the United Nations and US federal agencies jointly. Shaun has worked as the designated subject matter expert (SME) for the UN-FAO/EuFMD Commission for modeling and simulation of infectious livestock diseases for projects abroad including authoring curriculum in biostatistics and epidemiology for the Royal Veterinary College, London UK.

She also volunteers with the National Park Service all year round and with the Veterans’ Administration when possible.
