On Saturday, March 8, the department hosted the first Experience Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering for admitted and prospective students. The event welcomed sixteen future civil, construction, and environmental engineers to campus with their families. Students across Colorado and even as far as Oregon, California, and Texas, learned about each major, tour lab facilities, and heard advice from advisors and students. 

“This fantastic event was created to give admitted students an authentic glimpse of life on our campus while introducing them to our exceptional faculty and staff,” said Shannon Miller, Manager of Undergraduate Programs for the department. 

“Our goal is for every student to feel the energy of our community and know they are not just welcome here—they are a vital part of our world-class CEE educational experience! On Saturday, I truly believe we achieved that. I hope every attendee left feeling important, valued, and far more than just a ‘recruiting’ number.”
