Dr. Soham Ghosh is an assistant professor for the Colorado State University Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is also a core faculty of the C. Wayne McIlwraith Translational Medicine Institute and the School of Biomedical Engineering. His primary research interests are to understand the fundamental mechanobiological principles behind aging-related degenerative diseases of soft tissues and create diverse regenerative medicine technologies to manage those diseases, with a specific focus on nuclear mechanobiology, chromatin organization, epigenetic mechanisms and innate cellular regenerative response to stress.
Location
2350 Gillette Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80523

The Cellular Engineering and Mechanobiology Laboratory (CEMLab) is located at 2350 Gillette Drive in the Translational Medical Institute on CSU’s south campus in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The Translational Medicine Institute is a high-tech innovation hub, bringing together scholars, creators, and entrepreneurs to work in collaborative spaces to discover and deliver solutions that utilize the body’s healing capacity and improve the lives of animals and the humans that care for them.
Dr. Soham Ghosh and his team focus on question-driven research, focusing on how cells and intracellular components coordinate with environmental cues to regenerate tissues.
