Matlab

MATLAB is a visual research tool used for both classroom instruction and for research at CSU. College of Engineering participates in a campus-wide MATLAB license that allows for virtually unlimited use of the MATLAB application and included toolboxes.

Most faculty, staff and students with a current CSU eID are eligible to download and install MATLAB and toolboxes ON PERSONALLY-OWNED computers. If you are Emeritus, Affiliate, or Adjunct, you will not have access to this resource. Contact ETS with assistance installing MATLAB on college-owned computers.

For installation on personally-owned computers read the instructions below then click the link.

  1. Go to the Colorado State Matlab Portal
  2. Under Download MATLAB click on “Get started today”.
  3. Login with your CSU eID.
  4. Create a Mathworks account if you don’t already have one.
  5. Download the installer for the latest release by clicking the button at the center of the page.
  6. Run the MATLAB installer.
  7. Under “Select installation method” choose “Log in…” then click Next.
  8. Accept the license agreement then click Next.
  9. Enter your Mathworks login information then click Next.
  10. Ensure that Install is selected then click Next.
  11. If presented with a choice select the Individual license then click Next.
  12. Navigate to the desired installation folder otherwise leave default location and click Next.
  13. Select desired products to be installed or leave all selected and click Next.
  14. Select installation options then click Next.
  15. Review the list of products to be installed. If everything looks OK then click Install.

Should you require more or different toolboxes, please contact ETS for pricing. (You will need to purchase these licenses.)
