Biography: I’m a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Colorado State University from Broomfield, Colorado. As the current Tau Beta Pi Chapter President, I enjoy connecting with distinguished engineers and fostering meaningful professional relationships. I’m passionate about aeronautics, energy, and developing innovative engineering solutions that make a difference. Biography: I was born in Massachusetts and spent the first few years of my life out there. I moved to Colorado when I was 9 and embraced the opportunities we have here. I joined 4H and competed for many years in archery and dog training with my border collie. I am now a junior at CSU studying mechanical engineering on a 3 year graduation plan due to credits from duel enrollment in high school.

Major: Chemical and Biological Engineering
Biography: Hi! I’m Payton and I am currently a fourth-year student majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. I have lived most of my life in Loveland, Colorado and in my free time I love to paint, draw, and indoor rock climb. When I graduate, I would love to go into water treatment or fertilizers.

Outreach Chair – Ava Fisher
Major: Biomedical & Mechanical Engineering
Biography: I’m Ava, the outreach chair of TBP. I am majoring in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering with a minor in mathematics. I currently work at the Orthopeadic Bioengineering Reasearch Laboratory (OBRL) on campus, and I also work as a teaching assistant for MECH105, soon to be MECH305. During my free time, I love to watch tv/movies and being outside. After graduation in May 2026, I am interested in researching or working with methods of bone regeneration through mechanical stimuli.

Public Relations/Webmaster Chair – Jackson Lewer
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Biography: Hello, my name is Jackson Lewer. I’m a Junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical engineering is a terrific field: I could find work anywhere from the aerospace field to HVAC systems and be able to apply my degree to it’s maximum potential. I want to work in a field which is challenging; I’m especially interested in aerospace propulsion and reversible heat pump design. Outside of Tau Beta Pi I’m involved with the CSU OpenOrbit satellite team, and outside of academics I enjoy riding my bike, spending time in nature and going for walks with my dog.
