Dr. Cheng CV
Before joining Colorado State University, Dr. Cheng worked as an assistant and then associate professor at Florida International University (FIU) for 11 years. Earlier, he was a research scientist at the Central Research & Development department of the industrial conglomerate – E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont) in Wilmington, Delaware on various projects including advanced metallization materials for silicon solar cells. Dr. Cheng’s expertise is in the design, synthesis, processing, and characterization of advanced functional ceramic and ceramic-metal hybrid materials for solid-state energy conversion (such as solid oxide fuel cells and solar cells) and applications under extreme conditions (such as high temperature or high pressure)
