Community Outreach
Our AIChE chapter is committed to giving back to the campus and local community. Our chapter regularly participates in CSU’s RamRide, a volunteer program providing a free, safe, non-judgmental ride home for all CSU students. We also visit local K-12 schools to get students excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) subjects using grade appropriate demonstrations, games, and workshops.
In addition, we take every opportunity to participate in campus sponsored outreach events like CSUnity in the Spring and Fall Cleanup in the Fall. These programs provide outdoor yard work to the elderly and/or physically limited residents of Fort Collins.
If you are interested in joining us for any of these community outreach events, please contact us at csustemoutreach@gmail.com All majors are welcome.

Meetings and Events

AIChE holds meetings approximately every two weeks, during which we bring in guest speakers and provide members with tools to develop their professional and networking skills.
Joining the AIChE is a great way to develop as professional engineer outside of the classroom – whether you’re looking to pursue a career in the private sector, or thinking of a graduate degree, AIChE presents opportunities to develop leadership skills, communication, learn more about the industry, present at national conferences, and contribute to the profession by volunteering in community outreach events. It’s a great way to stand out in a competitive profession.
And of course, we try to have some fun. Each semester, we hold a brewery or distillery tour, and additionally there are national and regional events to participate in.

BMES is a professional organization that strives to educate both undergraduate and graduate students on the design, development, and advancement of medical and engineering technology through university research and industrial practice. Our objective is to provide our members with opportunities to network with professionals, help our members to advance their current skills and develop new skills, and be a resource for information and advice for students, all with the purpose of helping them further their careers in the field of biomedical engineering.
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) student chapter at Colorado State University is a professional society for students interested in the vast field of bioengineering such as tissue engineering, development of prosthetics and much more within the subclasses of regenerative medicine, biosensors, and multimodal imaging. Our main interest is to promote and enhance biomedical engineering knowledge worldwide and its utilization for the health and well-being of humankind. The national organization also has information about BME careers.
Our goal is to connect students with industry, research, and one another. Each semester BMES hosts numerous events including presentations and panels about what to expect when job interviewing and best interview practices. We also participated in various company site tours including visits to AlloSource and Medtronic. We have a great time, whether it is socially or professionally, and encourage you to join!
