Each team in the USLI competition must complete at least one subscale launch. The Ram Launch Initiative team successfully completed their 50% scale launch in December 2023. All components of the design were part of this launch excluding payload. This launch tested the reliability and evaluated our chosen design. The rocket reached our expected altitude of 2,000 ft and successfully ignited the black powder separation for the nose cone and the body tube.
