In our humble “Pattern Shop”, we have all of the equipment necessary to separate, abrade, shape, fasten and joint materials commonly used in the creation of foundry patterns. These materials can be variety of materials including woods, plastics and metals.
Our Director has spent a lifetime studying, practicing and implementing foundry best practices in everything from student projects to collaborations with Industry. He has both the expertise and passion to guide our students in the proper design and manufacturing of castings intended to by made through all manner of foundry processes.
Some of these common elements, shown above, include match plate design and considerations, core design and implementation, gating and runner design, etc… We can also offer consultation in the use of specialized elements such as filters, chaplets, insulating sleeves, etc…
With the capabilities above and the use of CNC equipment if necessary we can find a way to make casting your parts a reality!
