What is the Urban Design Challenge

The Urban Design Challenge is a week long event where participants work in teams to redesign high-profile urban spaces in Colorado. In this challenge, teams will recreate an improved version of a specific infrastructure in Colorado. Teams will use systems thinking to improve flow between many elements such as traffic and population. Teams will integrate water, energy, and community priorities into their designs. They will also plan for future generations and emerging technologies while managing zoning laws and other restrictions. Once teams plan out their design, they will become immersed in the design by using LEGOs to bring their design to life.
