Diego Krapf

Diego Krapf was born in Rosario, Argentina. He completed his Ph.D. research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, working in the group of Prof. Amir Sa’ar on infrared optics in nanostructured materials. He then joined the research group of Prof. Cees Dekker at TU Delft in the Netherlands,, where he focused on single-molecule biophysics using solid-state nanopores. From 2007 to 2025, Prof. Krapf was a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2025, he transitioned to the School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering at Colorado State University, where he currently serves as a professor. His research interests span sperm physiology with a focus on capacitation, anomalous diffusion and stochastic processes, and cellular biophysics at the single-molecule level.
