1/23/2012 Welcome to the new school year. I hope that all of your classes are going well. This first part of this semester we have three meetings planned taking us up close to Spring Break. The first one is next Monday, 1/30/12 and it will be another improv design competition. There will be pizza, prizes (possibly some really good ones), and lots of food. The next two meetings will be Feburary 13th and 27th and they will both be PLI credits, speakers and rooms tbd. All of our meetings start at 5p.m.so be sure to come if you can. Make sure to sign up for a coffee cart time, this allows us to buy pizza for you guys at the general meetings and you get to meet and socialize with many professors including the imfamous Dr. Fitzhorn. On an unrelated note Pi Tau Sigma, the mechanical engineering honor society is starting tutoring sessions starting next week for many of the Mechanical Engineering courses being offered this semester.

10-31-2011 Happy Halloween to everyone. Also today the earth reached a total of over 7 billion homosapiens living right now. This weekend we have the fall cleanup if you haven't signed up please do so asap you can email Torry, his contact info is on the officers page. You get a free t-shirt and a PLI credit for civic and public engagement.Next week on 11/7/11 we will have a improv. design meeting it will be at 5:30 location to be determined.

10-03-2011 Can't believe that it is almost October. Our next meeting is on the third. It is a PLI credit for Innovation, Civic and Public Engagement, or Leadership. It will be at 5:30 in Engineering 100.

Welcome Back The next meeting will most likely be 2 week from the previous general meeting which would be Monday September 12th though it might be the following week. We will let you know as soon as we find out. Happy Studying!

Wrap up and Next Year Roast and Toast was a great success. There was pizza, pool, and lots of fun. Awards were given and college careers ended. Can't wait to see you back next year. Our first meeting has not been determined yet.

Roast and Toast is approaching. It will be Friday May 6th from 6-9pm at Cooper Smiths Pool Side. Just to clarify, there was a misprint on the invitations and the correct date is Friday the 6th. Tickets will be $10 before April 25th, $12 between April 25th and May 5th, or $15 at the door. Pizza and appetizers will be provided. Activities will include pool, ping-pong, special performances and other presentations. Guests welcome. There will be roast and toast beer mugs for sale, $5 for seniors and $8 for everyone else. Tickets will be available at the Coffee Cart and in the ME office. Please return the invites to the ME office by May 5th to RSVP. Hope to see you there!

2-9-2011 ---- Just as an update, Board Member elections will be held on Monday, Feb. 21 at 5:30pm in the Engineering E 103. This is open to anyone who wants to become and ASME Board member for next year. This is an opportunity to give back to the university and improve your leadership skills. It's also an awesome resume builder. If you would like to learn more about board positions, please click on 'Descriptions' under the 'Officers' tab. The next General Meeting will be held on Monday, Feb 28 at 5:30pm (Location TBA).

1-27-2011 ---- The first meeting for 2011 will be a Nintendo Night at Academic Village at 5:30pm on Monday 1/31. We will providing pizza and games and giving a recap on what was done in 2010 and what we plan on doing for 2011. Hope to see you there!!




1-20-2011 ---- Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope that you had a fun and exciting break. Over break the ASME lounge got a makeover (which is still in progress). If you want to come check it out, stop by Room 5 in the engineering basement! Also MECH338 Lab Manuals are available for purchase!! If you need one, stop by the lounge with $25 in cash to pick one up. The first General Meeting of 2011 will be on Monday, January 31st at 5:30pm. So be sure to keep that time open! 12-9-2010 ---- Hey everyone! Hope that finals week is going well. We here at ASME CSU Student Section would just like to wish you good luck on you finals this coming week and for a safe and relaxing break. 11-17-2010 ---- DONATE TO CANS 4 HOPE!! Stop by the lounge (Engineering Basement Room 5) and drop off recyclable metal cans (aluminum, steel, etc.) in the cardboard box outside the door. These materials are used to help the Cans 4 Hope organization end human trafficking. If you would like to learn more about cans for hope, click here! . Thank you for your support!!

11-15-2010 ---- Due to lack of resources and planning there will be no meeting tonight. The next meeting is scheduled for November 29th where we will be doing an improv design contest, so be sure to show up!! Also, check this site frequently for the location of this meeting as this is still to be determined. Hope you all have an awesome and relaxing fall break. See you in two weeks!!

11-1-2010 ---- If you weren't able to catch the EECL tour last week, you missed out. Dr. Marchese gave us a very thorough tour of the lab, and also described his own work there. But don't worry, there will be more tours in the near future including a possible tour of the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins. However our next meeting will be November 1st at 5:30pm in a classroom B105 . We will be going over the Student Professional Development Conference in more detail for those who are interested as well as announcing the new Member of the Month . There will also be FREE FOOD! at the meeting. Hope to see you there!

10-3-2010 ---- Our next meeting will be replaced by a tour of the EECL (click for more info...). We will be meeting on the west side of Engineering building in corridor between Engineering and LSC on Monday, October 18th at 5:30pm. There will be people willing to drive others who are without a vehicle, but if you have a vehicle, please bring it.

10-3-2010 ---- Our next meeting is Monday the 4th at 5:30 in Glover 130. We will be having a guest speaker. And always there will be free food!
