Multimedia Demonstration

Mentor Graphics has provided a Multimedia demonstration of several of their products. To access this demonstration log in to one of the HP 700 stations using an HP VUE session and type the following commands

cd /nfs/XHI2/mgc_mmd
./start_demo

When the demo starts it will give a warning about needing patch PHSS_2541, you can safely ignore this warning. After the demo starts up you need to configure the program by selecting the setup icon, it is best to use headphones for the audio. The rest of the demonstration is self guiding. The demos of most interest are:

1. Design Architect in the PCB/MCM process
2. Quicksim II in the ASIC process
3. IC Station in the Bundled Packages... section of the IC process.
