Estes Park is located about 75 driving miles from the Denver International Airport. Three alternate travel routes apply, two via Boulder, Colorado and one via Loveland, Colorado. Each provides a scenic trip, particularly as you approach and enter the Rocky Mountains themselves.

The preferred method of travel is via rental auto and all major companies are located at the Denver International Airport. This provides you individual access to the nearby environs of Colorado, particularly if you opt for an extended stay. All typical roads are paved and easily traveled. It is not necessary to have a 4-wheel drive or other specialized vehicle unless you envision a longer stay and wish to engage in such off road interests. Slower driving will apply in some segments of mountain and canyon roads, or where tourist traffic is concentrated.

The Estes Park Shuttle is an alternative to an auto rental and is available by reservation through phone or fax (sorry no email reservations) to provide transportation from Denver International Airport to the venue in Estes Park. In order to accomodate all passengers a reservation must be made prior to arrival. A credit card is required and flight information is helpful to make sure all passengers have transportation regardless timely or delayed arrival times. The shuttle also serves as a taxi-type transport for small groups interested in visting downtown Estes to shop or dine. Once in Estes Park, transportation to surrounding areas such as Boulder, Denver or Fort Collins can be arranged by contacting the shuttle service as well.

Tours of Rocky Mountain National Park are also available at 10am and 2pm everyday for $29.50 per person. This tour is a 2 1/2 hour excursion around town and then into Rocky Mountain National Park. Another tour is also available that is a 5 hour guided tour of RMNP for $37.50 which includes lunch and soft drinks. This tour is by appointment only and requires 14 people.
